Join the Junior School

We welcome children to join us at any time, subject to places being available.

Red House is a selective school. Children wishing to join the Junior School will be assessed on their academic potential, using age appropriate activities.

Years 1-3

Children wishing to join in Years 1-3 will be assessed on academic potential along with age-appropriate activities to assess fine motor skills and their ability and eagerness to learn. This is carried out during a relaxed and friendly taster day within the school.

Children who attend Red House Early Years will automatically progress to Year 1, subject to a satisfactory record at the end of Reception.

Years 4-6

In Years 4-6 children will undertake an age-appropriate entrance assessment in verbal, non-verbal, quantitative and spatial reasoning.

"Teachers and the entire staff have been brilliant, caring, friendly, approachable and their individual catered focus to each student has made our son’s progress possible. The number of activities at the school gives him so many opportunities to express himself in all aspects of life.

Would highly recommend Red House School to anyone looking for a lovely, intimate, caring and progressive school."
