Congratulations to Kitt, who was awarded second place in the Max Gate category of the ISA National Essay Writing Competition.

Congratulations to Kitt, who was awarded second place in the Max Gate category of the Independent Schools Association (ISA) National Essay Writing Competition.

The ISA Essay Competition is an annual opportunity for pupils at ISA members’ schools to allow their writing skills to shine. Wordsmiths are invited to submit entries for a range of competition prizes aimed at age groups from year five and above, encouraging creativity and promoting confidence.

The judges commented that ‘Kitt produced a wonderful fairy tale, complete with a gold-embossed, ivory-handled lamp, a genie with attitude, an environmental message and a strong moral. There was good reader engagement and great humour.’

Red House has achieved great success in the competition for many years. It is a great way to get pupils’ creative juices flowing and shows their love of English as a subject.
