Typical Day

We offer a broad academic curriculum, taught by professional and committed teachers, all highly qualified in their subjects.

We work hard to prepare pupils for life beyond Red House, ensuring they are adaptable and resilient, ready to face an ever-changing world.

Before School

Children can arrive from as early as 7.30am for Breakfast Club, and there is no need to pre-book this session.

Here the children are supervised and, should they require it, may purchase breakfast. There is no charge for Breakfast Club, but pupils will require money if they wish to purchase breakfast items.

At 8.10am, children are escorted outside, unless the weather is inclement, until the bell goes at 8.25am.

Pupils who arrive between 8.10am and 8.25am should go straight to the outdoor astro area where they will be supervised.

The School Day

Morning
Pupils should arrive at school by 8.25am and be in their form rooms in time for registration, which is at 8.30am.

Assembly and PSHE/RSE Assembly or tutor time takes place at the start of each day.

Lessons begin at 9am.

Break and Lunchtimes
At break and lunchtimes pupils go outside, unless it is raining, on the  Senior School field and astro-turf.

Pupils enjoy our tuckshop, which is provided three times a week. Each Year group visits the tuckshop once a week.

The lunch break is from 1pm until 2pm. Our catering team provide weekly menus, which are displayed on our website and in all the main areas of the school.

Afternoon registration
Pupils arrive for afternoon registration at 2pm.

Lessons begin at 2.10pm.

Lessons end at 4pm.

After School

Most children attend our wide variety of co-curricular clubs. Each club lasts for 1 hour.

For parents who require a longer school day we offer ‘Tea and Prep 1’ which runs from 4-5.15pm and ‘Tea and Prep 2’ from 5.15-6.00pm.
